The Unfathomable

O’ life, the unfathomable,
The courage it requires, will I ever be able to gather?
But whom to blame,
When circumstances play an evil game.
The display of life in decadence,
Wavers my sense of cadence.
‘Hold on, be strong’,
How these words seem all wrong.
'Dear, hurting you was never my intention',
'I understand' was all she could mention.
'Please stop being in a rut', I hear myself say,
I promise to chart my own way.
Annihilate the noxious vermins,
Illuminate the mind with constant learnings.
The insipid existence sees a ray of light,
Hope and faith define the might.
